The investigation pointed out that the hacker called “Jota” charged a monthly fee of 1000 reais per customer to provide the information.
Already “smaller”, one of the panelists, charged 50 reais per client to provide the bot in the group."Lesser had over 200 groups so he did about 10,000 reais per month, only in this scheme," explained the delegate.
The arrest occurred during the third phase of Operation Medici Umbra, named “The Fountain”, which served three pre -trial detention warrants and three search and seizure in Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte and São Paulo.More than 50 police officers participated in the action.
Police said the data were resold to intermediaries who created clandestine consultation platforms and supplied scammers in different states. In São Paulo, one of the prisoners on Tuesday was responsible for directly applying the fraud; In Rio Grande do Norte, another target developed a “pulled” system in WhatsApp groups.
The arrested hacker would also have provided information to criminals investigated in previous phases of the same operation and other offensive against cybercrime.Among them is the hacker known as “Lammer, F4Llen or Lucifage”, arrested in August in Sao Paulo, suspected of leading a group that, besides threatening Youtuber Felca, shared pedophilia files and apology for Nazism.
