Cyberattacco: Brussels-Zurigo remains on the ground
Published on September 22, 2025
Three days after the computer attack that hit the airports of Brussels, Berlin and London Heathrow, the situation has not yet normalized and also touches Switzerland.Swiss in fact had to leave the 106 passengers of a flight from the Belgian capital to Zurich on the ground.
A spokesperson from the airline confirmed it to Keystone-ATS, indicating that the aircraft flew empty and that for passengers "we immediately sought solutions to bring them to their destination as quickly as possible".The same fate had touched 115 other people yesterday.
On Friday, the Collins computer service provider had been the victim of a cyberattacco with still unknown motivations. The company confirmed the fact to the German news agency DPA and indicated this morning to be completing the necessary updates so that the system returns fully operational.
However, this counterattop forced the Brussels airport to decrease the operations. On the routes from Zurich to Berlin and London, Swiss instead detected only short delays.
