View of train.Image: Keystone Seco investigates against Zug raw materials for Russia sanctions The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (Seco) has opened an investigation against the Zug raw material dealer Open Mineral.The company is accused of a possible violation of Russia sanctions in connection with gold, as the Reuters news agency reported on Friday. Specifically, Open Mineral is said to have acted with gold from Russia, as two people familiar with the matter said to the news agency.The sanctions were imposed on Ukraine after the Russian war of aggression. At the request of the AWP news agency, Open Mineral confirmed the investigation: "Last week, the authorities examined our premises in connection with an investigation into business in 2022."The company said that the authorities have been cooperated and will continue to do so.The business continues as usual. Active in over 50 countries The second confirmed AWP that a house search took place in Zug on September 11th."The procedure is currently directed against two people and unknown," said a spokesman for the authorities.The subject of the proceedings are possible violations of the law in connection with the Russia sanctions.The Seco does not want to take any further position on the ongoing procedure.
