House will hear Hacker Delgatti in a process that can revoke Zambelli this week

Published on September 7, 2025

Hacker Walter Delgatti Neto testifies to the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ) of the House of Representatives next Wednesday (10).He is a witness in the process that can lead to the revocation of the mandate of federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP). Zambelli, sentenced to ten years in prison for invasion of systems and adulteration of documents at the National Council of Justice (CNJ), is currently arrested in Italy. She had fled from Brazil in June, passing through the United States before arriving in the European country, and awaits the Italian court's decision on her extradition. The House analyzes the request for cassation while the defense of the parliamentarian seeks to submit evidence that disputes the accusations.Among them is the testimony of Delgatti Neto, convicted in the same action that involves Zambelli, considered essential by the lawyers of the deputy. Defenders argue that Hacker's testimony must be formally heard. They point out that their credibility has already been questioned by the Federal Police, who even classified him as Mitoman in related investigations. In addition to Delgatti Neto, Michel Spiero, former technical assistant of the deputy, will also give testimony to the commission on Wednesday. The defense also asked that the deputy herself, the delegate Flávio Vieitez Reis and the federal police officer Felipe Monteiro de Andrade are heard. The last two participated in the investigation that investigated Zambelli.Another testimony requested is from former Defense Minister Paulo Sérgio Nogueira, who faces trial in the Supreme Court for alleged attempted coup d'état. After the testimonials, the rapporteur of the case, Deputy Diego Garcia (Republicans-PR), will present an opinion on the cancellation or maintenance of Zambelli's mandate. The final decision will depend on a vote in the House plenary, and for the deputy's mandate to be revoked, at least 257 favorable votes are required.
