Jubillar trial: "History is not the same" ... User of a sadomasochistic site on the Darknet, relationship with another mistress at the time of disappearance ... secrets on the lover of Delphin
Published on September 25, 2025
Elements too quickly dismissed by the investigators, estimates the defense of Cédric Jubillar.
The third day of Cédric Jubillar's trial, accused of the murder of his wife Delphine in December 2020, was marked by more than ten hours of intense hearing at the Assize Court of Albi (Tarn).A high tension day, during which the defense delivered a formidable offensive against the director of investigation, the central witness of the day.
The survey director, a high ranking officer of the Toulouse research section, arrived at the helm with a massive file: more than 15,000 pages, 500 testimonies, and three years of investigations. In a structured presentation, he retraced the night of the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar, between December 15 and 16, 2020, in the middle of a curfew, as well as the following months.
His observation is without detour: "All the elements collected tend to show the participation of Cédric Jubillar, despite the absence of bodies and confessions".He lists a series of dependent facts: suspicious behavior, threatening sentences ("I'm going to kill her, bury her, no one will find her"), lies, jealousy, traces of blood and sperm on Cédric's pajamas, declarations of the couple's son, cries heard by neighbors, broken glasses, or the modified parking lot of Delphine's car.

Defense puts the investigation to the test
The afternoon was marked by a reversal of the situation. From 5 p.m., Cédric Jubillar's lawyers, Me Emmanuelle Franck and Me Alexandre Martin, began a real interrogation from the director of investigation, which will last almost three hours.Defense’s objective: to weaken the accusation file by pointing out the approximations, the gray areas, even the negligence of the investigators.Me Franck and Me Martin dispute several elements put forward by the accusation:
Cédric Jubillar would have accepted divorce, contacted a lawyer, and agreed with an amicable separation.
Delphine's alleged "fear of black" is called into question, in particular by a night outing on December 8 to "watch the stars".
The cries heard by the neighbors? At an hour when Delphine would still be on the sofa with her son.
Heavy charges against investigators
And the defense is not content to raise inconsistencies. She goes further, directly accusing the gendarmes of having directed the investigation to overwhelm Cédric Jubillar, even if it means neglecting other tracks.Among the underlined points:
Identified prowlers whose samples have never been sent to the laboratory.
A family book found seven months later in the street, without any DNA direct debit having been made or that the person who reported it was questioned.
But above all, extramarital relations by Delphine unexplored, in particular her lover, quickly put out of the case. The latter used a sadomasochistic meeting application from the Darknet which is called "Dirty meeting" and would have had another mistress in December 2020, which will never be heard."The story is not the same!", Storms Me Franck."You tell us that he is very in love, she has intimate relationships when he is with Delphine and that doesn't interest you at all!".
By multiplying the counterattacks, the defense wants to pass the investigation for partial or incomplete. She seeks to demonstrate that the accusation is based on a bundle of fragile clues, and that other tracks have not been explored with enough rigor.
